About Us

We believe that producing fresh and diverse stories should be an accessible and supportive endeavour!

Maddie & Tully

Meeting during our uni days, we formed a tight friendship and found creative collaboration together. Since then, we have been producing, shooting and working on bringing to life and showcasing stories we believe deserve the spotlight.

Thriving in an industry that was not build to accommodate you can be frustrating, isolating, and disheartening. Despite some rocky experiences in our time as filmmakers, we still love what screen content can do and hope to use the lessons we have learnt along the way to create a space for ourselves and people like us.

claricewouldlikeaword. was born from this need for a new way of approaching film production in Adelaide, Australia (Kaurna Yerta). The work we support and productions we take on all aim to feature and include neurodivergent, female/non-binary, LGBTQIA+ and CALD stories, characters, and practitioners.

We are currently developing a sustainable production pipeline through our Writers Wanted and Matchmaking Service Programs. claricewouldlikeaword. was chosen as part of Helpmann Academy's 2024 Creative Innovator Program, where we will receive industry and business mentorship with the creation of these programs.
